HR Tomorrow 2006: What Does the Future Hold?

If there was a common theme heard during the day on April 21st it was that the field of Human Resources and Industrial Relations is constantly changing. As more organizations look to their HR professionals to serve as strategic business partners, HR leaders must stay current with the latest trends while managing their day-to-day challenges.

During the day-long conference, 17 speakers shared their knowledge and experience with more than 250 attendees from the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and beyond. These varied presentations ranged:

  • from a look at the future of the National Labor Relations Board to an introduction of the innovative Results-Only Work Environment structure;
  • from the changing face of executive compensation to an understanding of a study that looked at how U.S. multinational firms determine where to locate their production facilities;
  • from putting people first through a new era of labor relations to talent management and growth leadership strategies at two leading local employers.

A special thanks to the HR Tomorrow Planning Committee of the IRC Alumni Association Board of Directors for putting together such a great program:

  • Kim Johnson, Chair
  • Lisa Carlson
  • Ben Crockett
  • Adam Moffatt
  • James Parker
  • Renee Parratore

Several of our speakers have generously agreed to post their presentations online for further review; please click here to view their presentations.
